Orchestrations
The orchestrations were created using computer programs such as Sibelius and Reaper, along with the EastWest Symphonic Orchestra sound library. While these tools allowed for detailed compositions, some musical techniques and instructions were not always fully executable with the available software at the time. As a result, the orchestrations provide only an approximation of the intended work.
A small selection of human voice samples from the sound library was incorporated, allowing for a choir-like presence in certain pieces, though these are virtual representations of the voices.
One of the recordings, Love, Light, and Purity – Liefde, Lig en Suiwer, is the live performance of a symphonic orchestra during a concert for new works at the Endler Hall, University of Stellenbosch. For reference, I’ve also included an orchestration of Prokofiev's "Mercutio No. 8", a piano piece arranged for orchestra.
